I managed to buy a Matra 313 engine stand from an old mechanic.

anybody has any pics how these stand look like when new? colour etc?

thinking of restoring it back to original look.

close but still practical as i plan to use the stand, not as display. Laughing

pictures to follow.

The grey you probably have is the right color, I have yet to see one that was repainted.

I just bought a Matra stand last night and it has an interesting plate on the front. This is not my unit, I borrowed the photos from the gallery but it has the same funky plate sticking out the front. Does anyone know what the plate was used for? I think it has about 5-6 different holes drilled into the plate.
