I have been away a while. Glad to see the bus driving! I bet its a blast to drive. You have done a nice job getting it together. It looks good, no hack job thats for sure! _________________ 66 Baja

Thanks BUGGUTS.
RE-designing the front suspension now. Will work on some pics.
As far as the "no hack job...." you are too generous. But I am working through those as well _________________ my build log

Have you thought about replacing the light bar with a shorter one that would fit in the spot where the vent is on the front? _________________ Ruby red 1967 beetle sedan with a 2021cc

oh yes. My original plan was to use 2 smaller ones attached to the vents so that I could raise them up or down with the vents. But unfortunately, they are still too big to really work. As technology continues, and lights get smaller with the same amount of light, I can easily see myself going that route. For now, this things works pretty good. Turn night into day and was only around $85. _________________ my build log

Been getting ready for Cruise night tonight and better yet, Old School Buggy Reunion At Oceano Beach (some call it Pismo Beach) on Saturday.
Installed onboard air compressor with a 2 gallon tank
Sealed up the dog house (that took awhile )
Then we gave her a bath.
Oh ya, and installed a sliding window on the driver's side
And added an Air Horn, wow its loud

Just read through your entire build, it's great to see such an extreme project completed and not scrapped at some point! Looks like a blast, the video "at Jim's" I would imagine after a few beers... one might not know which direction that thing's supposed to be moving |

Thanks pullstart.
There were a few time that I wondered myself if I would be able to finish it. Trick is to:
1 -- remember its a hobby, not a job
2 -- Get something done (no matter how small) every week.
3 -- Go online and watch videos to get you re-motivated
" one might not know which direction that thing's supposed to be moving...
"
I guess I could put a steering wheel on both ends??? _________________ my build log

  If you had a sun roof- you could mount a mannequin dressed as a terrorist- then you wouldn't need an air horn-- just a bullet proof vest--
Great job - looks like it should wear tank tread. _________________ some days I get up and just sit and think. Some days I just sit.
