been purging the cooling system, been a bit of a challenge, but think I'm just a bout there. 6 gallons of coolant, had to get 3 more. I don't think it's gonna overheat.
Added some wheel spacers to get the wheel's flush with the fenders. Some before and after pics.
Then built a ladder so people can get in the back.

built frame for rear dog-house over the transmission
Then covered it in stainless. Still need to make a hinged access door to access the dip-sticks
would have been easier with a brake.
My honey bought be a stainless chromed emblem for the front

smileyman3000:
a few issues. I need to clear out some more metal around the wheel wells; hitting under compression and turning. Need to rebuild the 14" Fox shocks for the front and build the shock towers. Riding without shocks is a bit bouncy!!! Hope to have that done this week so that I can take it out next weekend for more testing.
Oil pressure maintained 30+ PSI at idle and 50-60 when RPMs came up
Throttle a bit stiff, but I have a solution for that.
Manual brakes work GREAT!!!
Temperature never went above 190° _________________ my build log

14" Fox shocks...
I haven't seen any suspension mods in this thread that would account for 14" of travel to use those shocks front or back. Have I missed something? _________________ Richard

yes 14" shocks
I have 13" of travel on each corner, so I want 14" shocks so that I don't bottom out on the shocks _________________ my build log

The video makes it even BETTER! How does it feel being so far over the front corner?
Is it an echo chamber inside?

Thanks guys.
Its is not as bad as your would think sitting that far forward. But maybe that is because I have spent the last 5+ years sitting in the front seat making motor noises while crawling over imaginary rocks
Noise level is pretty nice inside. My muffler guy did a great job and cramming everything in there and keeping it quite. _________________ my build log

There haven't been any "Mods" per-see. The springs that are on there are 4" lift high arch springs with 4" shackles. When it was a CJ7, there was not enough weight to compress the springs enough to get that much travel. But with the weight that I have now, the springs are much more compressed. This allows the wheels to droop out much further.
Hope that answers your question. _________________ my build log

OK, I remembered that it was a CJ7 chassis, but I was thinking it had stock springs. No way stock will get ya 13" of travel. _________________ Richard

Took the bus out to the riverbed. Here we are taking a break
did pretty well. Tires are still rubbing when I lean it over. REALLY need to get the shocks installed. But everyone had a blast. _________________ my build log

Thanks smileyman
A few new things like nut inserts to hold the mirrors. Primarily been trying to take it out on short runs to work out the bugs. Actually took it out on the street this last weekend....SCARED the CR** out of me. The springs are way too soft and the caster is far too negative (I knew that I was going to have to fix that). Working on fitting my full size axle and out-boarding the front springs using stiffer springs. _________________ my build log
