there's definitely a difference between the length on the bottom of the stripe near the wheel arch in the brochure & what ended up on the vehicle's.

can't believe you found one thanks for posting!!

Now some adjustments to the design & I need someone to put their hand up for a prototype @ cost.

let me know if your interested

Empitype3,
Do you have a photo of the other fender with Australian Type3 Racing Stripe ? It seems that the spacing between the center of the "C" and the lettering differs from brochure to photos slightly.

Spacing looks exact as Vlad01 original stripe.

what month is you notch?

I recon we got the same car apart from the color. Even your stripes are cracked like mine. Same aussie mud flaps too.

does yours have black front boot lining?

Vlad01 - yes, black boot lining. Compliance plate shows 10/71 build. Don't know if that means that the stripes are from then or the first owner might have spotted them when in for a service? Are they a factory or a dealer option?
Oxsign - will get pics shortly.

docker,
Nice Type 3 (Notch) Halfback in Australia.
If your car build was 10/71 it's pretty close to 1972 and probably didn't hit the dealer until then.
The Type 3 Racing Stripe was a dealer installed "accessory" option, approved by Volkswagen.
Thanks for the photos, any of the other side ?
