Hello YASHA7FOLD,
Just get it! Just make sure you verify it as a Empi Sportster. Not a burro or toad.
They have similar angles but very different in the fender area.
Good luck.

So what are the tell tails that it's a Sportster and not a burro or toad?

My Sportster has reduction boxes. I'm not a fan. It runs greats, handles well, but even with 30" tires top speed is only 55 or 60 mph.
It must be one of the fastest cars in the first 20 feet! |

Thanks a bit far for me
Take a close look at the seats if they are early ( like 53 ) they could be worth more than the buggy |

Hello YASHA7FOLD,
Yep that's a Empi Sportster and in agreement from the guys 500 is fair.
You have to consider the patina is not there yet
Now that baja in the background is cool? PM me if you have details
You will have to get the paperwork straight and do some body work on it.
Good luck.
Keep us posted when you get it.

Threw the chassis together today. Trying to get all the parts together so I can figure out the ride height and perimeter pan done.

This is Olga. I believe she is a modified Sportster. I got it from a guy who stretched the body to fit on his '67 pan and made a few other changes. I did all the detailing, including the paint, seats and all accessories.
Olga at Wasteland Weekend
Here she is when I got her.

Hello Mojave Adventure,
That is a cool ride but not a Empi Sportster. The angles are all wrong.
Modified yes.
Looks like a Hummer front end?
Good luck on Olga.

I was at a friends house and he is building a corvair engine for this sportster. I believe this MAY be a factory built unit or at least a kit.
Note the little indentations on the roll bar...anyone else have these on their roll bar?
This is NOT my car, it is not for sale as far as I know and I do not know the owner. I am simply posting these for your reference.

Not factory built as the bed is to long , should not cover motor
the dents in the roll bar is not correct either , not sure how or why the did that
The windshield looks correct , dash does not
missing the front roll pan part to the body
This is still a good looking buggy and will have lots of power with the chevy motor |
