Is that a stock paint job? If so that had to have been really radical in 1930. _________________ Central Jersey VW Society

Yes, that is a stock paint scheme, designed by Joseph Urban to accentuate the length and lowness of the car. The car was pretty radical for its era with FWD, low height (only 58" tall) and not having running boards. The manufacturer's slogan was "You can look over a Ruxton, but you can't overlook one!" Most cars of the era stood 6 feet or over at the roof. |

oh tomany to list. cars are like women,I like almost everyone I see. the cost is about the same too well on some anyway. I think Im kinda like leno when it comes to cars although I dont have the cash to see it through.what a sweet job to work in his shop.or even sweeter to be like him and have the talented guys doing what you cant.I would be right in there working and machining with them....to make sure it's all done right of..corse. I cant be stuck into one maker or style or era of car. |

And I am still strangely attracted to this little guy:

And a Subaru Libero 4WD. I about exploded when I saw one for the first time in Vaclavske Namesti in Prague.

I usually avoid fantasy threads- but dangit, I've had a tent pitched for a '73 Volvo P1800ES for years!
Meanwhile, a Jensen Interceptor always has a place here, along with a '63 Avanti, Series II Land Rover 88", Audi Quattro Coupe and an all-original 240z. _________________

My grandpa moved here from germany and bought himself a 1956 gullwing in silver with a plaid red interior. He bought it from the showroom and drove it to orange county where he had it until 4 years after my mom was born. He sold it to buy a house for about 10,000 bucks. Latter they sold that in the 70s but by that time my mom had moved out. That same house is for sale for 2.5 million and that gullwing is probably for sale for the same price . That makes me want to horde everything
I want one of these also -

The Citroen DS are a fantastic car. They can be a challenge but once sorted out are quite reliable. A very unique driving experience especially with the bvh transmission which has a power operated clutch (no pedal) and finger tip gear change. The ride quality is phenomenal. _________________ Paul
