Welcome!!
Nice Ghia.
It amazes me how you Aussies have garages that look so much like the typical Americans!! Full of valueless crap and then you park your car (that is actually worth something) out in the rain!!

That is so true. Every one of my neighbors have multi-car garages and every one of them have their cars outside. One neighbor has a three car attached garage and a two car detached. When he built the two car detached I thought he would have at least one car in the garage. No! All six of his cars are still outside.
My neighbors are amazed that I have four garage bays with all three of my cars inside. The opne bay is even available if I need it. This will likely be filled with a project in the next couple of years.
One of my neighbors even said its a novel idea parking your cars in the garage! _________________ Ghia Owner Emeritus |

Nova, the same happend to me, I do not understand how they fill the garage with a bunch of things and allow the cars outside. I am not from this country and all my neighbots says that I love too much my cars that I leave them space in the garage, can you image that ? _________________ Ivan

thats why the floor is all wet .. it was from the degreaser and gerney.
im looking at buying a temp garage for her as my missus car lives in the garage ATM and i have the rest of it occupied with my toolboxes and the ghias interior... and soon i gotta shoehorn her motor in there as well.

well I can't speak for your neighbor but I can speak for all of CA when I say that theirs a very good reason for leaving at least 1 car parked on the street.....I don't think I have to remind everyone that CA is an earthquake hotbed......in case of an emergency you need to be able to get out of the house, into a car, and go ASAP.....if all of your cars are in the garage you run the risk of a garage cave in, a broken garage door, a fire inside the garage, etc, etc......at least if one is on the street (and no tree falls on it ) you still have a fighting chance to get the hell out of harms way......also that's the car that always has a full take of gas (no matter what) as well as blankets, water, nuts, raisin, etc, etc……I’m only 28 and everyone that I know calls me an old man…..but for those of you that remember an old movie called tremors……it pays to be prepared

I'll go the other way and say I love the color! Even looks like it matches my track car
We recently moved into a new house and can get one car in the two car garage, but I could get two cars in if I put my tools away and my wife puts the seats back in her van!
I tried to buy a house with a 4+ car garage and workshop, but someone else got it

What terrific parents you are, buying the little one a Ghia before being born

I'm sure it's not a new or original thing, but on a custom like this, I kinda like the tank painted in the body color. It really helps it to blend in and not be so conspicuous. Nice touch and nice job overall. _________________ Mike
