Pete Moore, an original member of the Miracles, the hitmaking Motown group led by Smokey Robinson, and a co-writer of some of its most enduring songs, died in Las Vegas on Nov. 19, his 79th birthday. _________________ -=Rob

I was looking at Dawn Wells on Gilligans' re-runs.
I thought Cassidy was effeminate looking and behaving, and Susan Dey rarely looked happy. Danny B. pretty much stole the show though. Some of the Partridge songs were decent though, same with the Monkees.
Didn't he Partridges kidnap some little girl to replace the one they lost? Something like when Steve Douglas kidnapped neighbor Ernie to replace an older son on My Three Sons; I never believed the story that Ernie's family moved away and left him behind.
Maybe The Rifleman killed off Ernie's family - for a "model" dad, Lucas McCain sure killed a ton of folks, like 150 in the 5 seasons. |
I went with one of my neighbors to go see Danny Bonaduce and Susan Dey live on stage at one of our local amusement parks in 1971. It was essentially them marketing the upcoming 1971-72 season and announcing the replacement Partridge, Brian Forster. I recall they both had very artificial hair color; probably because they were still filming the new season's episodes. _________________ Thanks,

Oh, maybe Brian Forster was the neighbor kid that the Partridges kidnapped. _________________ 1970 VW (owned since 1972) and 1971 VW Convertible (owned since 1976), second owner of each. Another reminder for our own mortality. I really liked Gomer Pyle USMC! It was a stable to watch after school along with Hogan's Heroes, Mash, I Love Lucy, etc. I loved the drill sergeant whose name I forget. _________________ Contact me at [email protected]

I'll always remember that line (along with the Chick Hearn snippet) in the background of Pink Floyd's "Nobody Home" on "The Wall" album. RIP Gomer. |

Gunnery Sgt. Vince Carter was played by Frank Sutton. He died back in 1974. |

Mitch Margo, lead singer of The Tokens, at 70. I didn't realize they recorded "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" when they were still in high school. |
