Ooh. Ooh. I want to play. Here is mine.
Slowlow: Better pics? I want a set of red portawalls, but I was unsure about them because of the red bus. Those look sick. |

They NEVER made a 15x8 in those wheel's unless someone got really crafty and made a pair for themselves _________________ ** HELL YEAH I'LL SELL IT TO YOU**

Anyone here got any recommendations on putting these rims on an early bus? I got a 62 Kombi that I want to put these on but from what I've heard and read you can't just bolt these to the fronts. My buddy has them on his 57 Standard but he used 2 1/4" spacers and still had to clearance the rims a bit to put them on. I'm not against using spacers but I would like to know what way would be best. _________________ 1962 Kombi Bus - My rolling project!

Do you have more pics of the rim. I'm not sure what you mean that they are different.
Did someone take some material off the center?
Here's a pic of one of mine.

Looks like the one i picked up the other week actually! Is your center cap hole 3"? I think that's what I measured it out to. I think the more common ones are approx 2.75".

I measured the hole and the hole is 2.76" for mine and 2.56" for the others did you check the back of the rim to see the difference? |

Damn, Hotrodvw your red bug looks like my old '66, rims painted to match as well....
Other than your's being more Red than orangish. I thought, damn there's my old bug! lol I sold it in 1989, after 7 years. I rolled the AEW copies I bought at Car Custom, for $49.95 each! lol
Like to have a set now, to roll on my newest ride, '68 bus deluxe.
Once in a while you can find em cheap...$1200?? haha too funny!
better be gold dipped in 24k

Got it.. I just spent $66 duckets for the entire set of studs, nuts, and washers. Not cheap but there's the safety factor that you can't put a price on. |
