This dude on another board is claiming these wheels are real Porsche Fuchs. He says they were built for 356's. And thats what he pulled them off. He seems like a nice guy, but says I am mistaken. So help me out with more info on the wheels, or even some OG ads...

The wide five porsche wheel's were made by american eagle and are no longer being made. They aren't that rare but they are really becoming popular now. And a bit pricey. Very nice wheel and they can be polished up really nice or chromed. I just put a set on a Binz crew cab I just restored. They are NOT a real porsche made wheel. If they were they would have the porsche part# on them.

The funny thing is back when they were new, if you had a set of those, it was like having 'Pro Wings' while every one with real Fuchs had on Nikes. I still think they are awful but thats just my opinion. Laughing

Exactly.......I had them back in the 90's, and felt like a poser not having the "real" Porsche Alloys. Now, I'd love to have a set again. When they're polished up, they're really nice!
