Most of the dealers in CT are gone but the buildings are there.
This is Ted Trudon VW in Vernon
George Wolf in Windsor
And here is Route 44 VW in Avon _________________ '67 Beetle L41

Anyone have any pictures or history on Winston Motors Salem N.C. ?
Here's the old dealership sticker on my 61 double cab rear bumper
And the dealership badge I found posted in the technical dealer forum

Yeah, who would have thought that a minimalistic, cheap mode of transportation would have a better ROI than gold? _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.

That crossed my mind in the past as well, but then you have to think about storing those cars somewhere, building maintenance, property taxes, security, etc.... and when today rolled around would they still be in useable shape? Would the warehouse they were in now be surrounded by condo's and coffee shops and yours was the old eyesore the city has been trying to get rid of for years?, have the squatters moved in?
Pretty deep stuff aside from the small issue of quantum physics and all the other issues associated with time travel. I'm sure if given the chance there'd be smaller and easier to store items I'd scoop up, then I could just buy the big items today.
Maybe I need a Delorean? _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

Whatever you end up putting a flux capacitor in, when you go back, just entomb everything in cosmolene. Good enough for the U.S. Army. _________________ --

My sister bought her new 1970 Super Vee at Ed Peyton VW in Lima Ohio on Cable Road - last time I went by it was a replacement window sales place. Wish I would have taken pics!
When I was stationed in Hawaii (Hickam AFB, approx. 1979) there was Airport VW - is it still around?

Revised--I have added an actual pic of the shop--about 1970. My Dad is from about 1960.
[quote="Patty B."]I know most of you have seen it before but here it is again--In small town Ontario, Canada.
It's on the list of dealers.

To add an update to my search for Evans VW things, a friend of mine sent me this picture. He said he remembers the place being a VW dealer, and his wife even bought a Beetle from them in the 60's. I tried buying it from him, but he's hanging onto it.

I lived in the area until 2 years ago and trying to figure out where exactly this was? Sad part now is that the closest VW dealership is in Findley. Recently bought my daughter who lives just West of Lima an 06 Jetta and she can't find anyone in the area that wil touch it. |

There's something odd about that photo, it's clearly the same building but from a really different angle, I think the now photo is taken from where the DC is parked in the then version, kind of messes with your head _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.
