I saw a bumper sticker post in the Bay Window forum, and it was pretty fun to see the way folks express themselves through their choice of stickers.
Of course, perhaps Bay window buses are more conducive to stickers, but I thought I'd throw it out there. Also, i wanted to show off my new sticker.
And of course, I'm sure there are folks out there that believe a sticker has no place on their ride, in which case, you can simply live vicariously through the rest of us. _________________ 65 Karmann Ghia Coupe

Hey GuavaJelly, you bought the wrong sticker. Only kidding.
I'll try to get a pic of my stickers later today.
Good topic, should be interesting.

I have no photo, but I saw this on a bus once:

I know this isn't the best picture, but it's what I have at the moment:
The yellow circular one is a UAW sticker, and the rectangular one on the top left says this: "Land of the Free* *Some restrictions apply. Void where prohibited." _________________ 1980 Vanagon L Westy (176,200)

Not a sticker, not a single thing to draw a rock, a key, a knife, a nail from those in our society who do not treat dissenting opinion as wrong, but as evil.
I can't afford to put my van in ideological harm's way. I have opinions, but I don't dare discuss them on the road or in a parking lot.

I have some great stickers in my collection, just waiting for me to get a good enough bumper to deserve them.
They include a vintage
"Impeach Nixon"
and "I Know Dave Pober" in all big red letters. I have no idea who he was, but it's a catchy sticker.
The day a nice bumper comes my way, i'll post pictures. |

I saw one once that stated:
"<------- FAST LANE"
I wish I could find it. I'd place it on my left rear window. _________________ Current VW drives: 1984 Westfalia

Well, the Vanagon only has a turtle we found in Moab that I liked, a Celtic Tree Of Life and a KRCL radio (local non-profit, community radio station). The turtle theme seemed to catch on... we later found some ceramic bobble head turtles in Cape Hatteras, NC, and one found his way to the top of the instrument cluster.... my avatar is his portrait taken by my wife.
One of my favorite stickers was one I found at a Sears key shop, of all places, while I was having a spare key made for my '58 Westy. It was on the '58 for years until someone stole my rear bumper: "I Brake for Hallucinations" My mother hated it but it was a big hit at the Dead shows! _________________ 1988 Wolfsburg Edition, 2001 Subaru EJ251 |
