Well i been doing some research at work, this might not be fact cause I was just skimming text. But it looks like the guy who bought the bus was in the reserves or something and is now over in Iraq, at least thats what i get from his myspace page. So I guess we'll have to wait till next year, unless he has someone finishing it up for him. Im still wondering whats going on with that Muir Documentary. |

Well, not all who are obsessed have found The Samba. I'd had YellowBird for over 15 years before I found this place. _________________ John

hahahaha.
Nothing against type1
Some people call them type1 or beetle
Most people call them bugs because a beetle is a bug
Beetle is also an insect
What’s the difference between an insect & a bug? |

That looks great! I'm surprised they were able to license all those great songs for an independent film... _________________ Wanted - Dormobile Roof Parts! |

Am I losing it, or do I remember the original story of him buying that Bus and trying to drive it back home from a series of posts here on The Samba? |

Maybe, I believe the story goes that he bought the bus out in the midwest somewhere, then went to go get it and bring it back, but he wasn't making good time or something so he parked it at a family members church somewhere in the plains. Then he went back to Cali and talked people into helping him make a film about the remainder of the trip back. Hence this footage here. But I was reading in an article that they didn't make it completely back and the bus resides at a motel somewhere off route 66. I kind of wish my bus sounded like a lawnmower.... |
