Does anyone make/ know of a shelf that goes in the engine compartment? I am going to need one for a 53 if I go through with the purchase, and it seems to be the major part I am missing.

Myself, and at least 2 others are in need of a full width dash...
Gerson is no longer making them.
Any leads??

what year ? 51-52 or 53-55.
Why isn't Gerson making them anymore ?
I have built an early style and could do another, maybe not exactly 100% true to the original ( without fuse box recesses, but could be arranged)

I know that Mark is very well capable of building one also !

If any one needs early barndoor big sliver headlight lenses contact samba member "JDF" out of Belgium. He has logo'd and non logo'd. I recieved a non logo'd set today and am absolutely thrilled with them. They are perfect. No bubbles or pits. They are glass too. As good as any nos lens I've ever seen.

I'm sure you saw the mount for the emblem, the primer grey part in that photo used in the ad for the repo's. I'm guessing you want to find just the logo'd part. Is it not the same as just a split bug hood emblem?

Edit, Looking at them in pics, if the one above is an original emblem, it looks like the v and w are separated and the split beetles are ran together. I'm not sure but the size looks to be close. can anyone verify??
