A friend of mine called this afternoon asking what I was doing. I was painting the bathroom. He wanted to know if he and his son could come over and use me, my expertise, and my tools to carve out his son's pinewood derby car from a solid block of wood. Sure, I can do that!
They pull up with said block of wood, an idea, some mustard pretzels, and a six pack of this...
We made things happen, my bathroom got finished, pretzels were consumed, and beer was enjoyed.
Not bad for a Wednesday evening.
Derby is Saturday. I can't wait! _________________ nothing |

Pick up a six pack of these Friday. Wow, what a pleasant surprise. Definitely worth a try if you like root beer. I will be buying more. I would go as far as saying I would try it over ice or even ice cream. Something I'd never say about any other beer. _________________ Prosit!

I'm sitting at Crucible Brewing in Everett WA enjoying a pint of Bulat Brown. It's about time for me to head back home on this wonderful 80 degree day. _________________

Stopped at a Fred Meyer in Issaquah this weekend before the Saturday night campout before the Sunday VW Spring Meet in Bellevue before selling off a big pile of heavy stuff before driving back over the pass before getting home late last night.
At the store, they had this...
Not the best imperial IPA I have had, but pretty tasty anyway. _________________ nothing |

^^^ If you like that one from Lagunitas, you must try this one. Excellent on a hot summer afternoon.

Lagunitas is hit or miss around the rural sticks here..
The Asheville NC area is the Beer mecca of NC.. I can find loads of varieties there.. .. . We visit there at least 4 times a year..
Last night.. this.. very nice..

^^^ That stuff is a long time favorite. If you can find it, they make a 120 minute version, too. Much excellence. _________________ nothing |

Just returned from a 3K mile round trip to the Midwest to visit family and friends. I also hauled home a couple of antique store coolers full of excellent beers. Will be posting regularly for awhile.
Tonight, it is Bent Nail IPA from Red Lodge MT. I found this a few years back, and I always grab a sixer when I pass through MT.

Tonight I will be enjoying a dose of Wicked EX from Big Wood Brewing in MN.
It is OK. Not the best, but good enough for my lazy Sunday afternoon.
