Let us know how it goes.
My husband is being courted to go to help set up an art studio down there and I have to admit that place scares us.

Have a good trip and stay aware and be safe.

My younger Brother went down to Columbia this spring. he had no problems, his wife is from there, the family maintains a house there. They do need to have someone live in the house when they are not there, or - acoording to my bro's in-laws, everything would be stolen, so they have a house keeper live there.
They traveled all over- my sister in-law speaks spanish, my bro-very little, and @ 6' 1" & 200# + , white guy, he sticks out !
He said you get used to the Soldiers w/ machine guns on the streets, and it seems pretty safe in the cities. Just my .02

I have been exporting barndoors from Colombia to all over the world for the past 3 years; check out my webiste; www.buscarros.myphotoalbum.com

I live in Bogota and if I will be ther on the 12th of August I will most likely go to the meeting/tour. You are more then welcome to join me. My email: [email protected]

Cheers,

Sander
