congrats, 60, nice licenseplate, 36er, and the all important cab divider. It is much quieter, and it is warmer, too.
enjoy! _________________ regards

Yesterday....
I finished grinding remnants of the old nose off and test fit the new nose skin and removed my headlight buckets from the old nose.
Today.... I will cut the turn signal holes and strip/prime the headlight buckets and do more fitting work. I hope to have it cleco'd and clamped in place by the end of the day. |

Finally found an affordable/quality crimper to make factory style open barrel non-insulated connections:

Which tool did you go with and which source for the open barrel connectors? _________________ Contact me at [email protected]

Same here. I have found sources, but could not pay the dough for something I will only use a few times a year. _________________ nothing |

That looks great. I hate the connectors they sell in the parts stores that do not have the support for the wire. _________________ WANTED:

This is the tool I bought (although it was $27.46 when I bought it):
http://www.amazon.com/Eclipse-300-005-Ratcheted-No...ge_o02_s00
Here are the connectors I bought (great price):
http://www.amazon.com/Speaker-6-4mm-Female-Termina...ge_o00_s00
The selection of connectors on Amazon.com is not great but you cant beat the price. I've used the crimper about 10 times now and so far it works great. It's ratcheted so you can insert the connector and then ratchet it down slightly so it will hold it in place. Then you can use your other hand to insert the stripped wire and then crimp until the handle releases and your done. The crimp strength is adjustable as well and I've heard this crimper will use Paladin die sets but have not confirmed that.
I got crazy and started re-crimping a bunch of the connectors on my bus and these are certainly much cleaner/stronger crimps. The one crimp that looks sloppy here actually has two wires in it (cold start and choke) but its still way better than it was. I'll need to look around for some other connectors including some small ring terminals.
Hope this helps. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

Fixed a pin hole leak in a tube today. It was nice to find that the tube was pinched and the pushrod rubbed a hole through it. Got it all buttoned up and realized I didn't have any new oil... |

Ratt,
How long did it take to get it fixed, start to finish? Did you do it in one day?

Stopped by to meet Casey and check out his nice 60 DD Panel. Very cool bus and very nice guy. Let me know when you get the rear brakes done, I'd love to see it on the road.

Started about 10am had to run to a friends house about 11:30 to get a new tube. Then lunch. Back out front around 1:30 and wrapped up at 4ish. Didn't realize that I didn't have oil until that. So I filled her with oil today, and purrs like a kitten. And as an added bonus I fixed the sound short of the muffler through the bumper. The drive is so much quieter now!
In all took about 4 hours of real wrenching. Would have been faster if I had my own part and if the wife didn't care enough about me to make me come eat. |

Rich I got em in and bleed. Then an adjustment was in order for all four and the hand brake.
stuffed the "super balloon" tires on and I'm rolling safe and sound!
