Adriel, RTV won't work. Maybe use the Airtex 2000 pump for a Ranger as a temporary measure?

Sure strange R.T.V. would not work. Bet it has to do with bonding to the metal, right?

Hmmm, I will think on that.

No, it has to do with not being impervious to gas.

Any fuel? How about oil? Good to know sometimes. Wink

Oh, and what modifications to the wiring are needed for the pump? I am on edge of deciding...

I'd make up a couple of jumper wires from the Airtex pump that have male spade connectors on the other end so you can plug into your existing fuel pump plug without cutting/ splicing anything. Remember, the - wire on the Airtex plugs into the brown wire on the pump plug.

You'll need to leave the return line from the pump to the tank blocked off.

This way you can go back to OE later if you want.

I am a good mechanic, better than Jack or you would like to know it seems. I am not as good as you two, or many others, but I might be more creative. I mean, you both do not work on F.I. or understand it. G-d gave use each unique talents, which for you include fuel pumps and a vast knowledge of 1500's. Jack it is keeping in daily driver order what many would have scrapped years ago.

It was driving great, then for a while, had an electrical issue, which I am not sure I ever solved. Once I had it solved, the fuel pump went bad. So I had Adney rebuild it and all was great. Then sometime it seized and Jack thought it had been that way. If this was a mechanical pump, it be so easy. I would have you rebuild it knowing that there would be no issues.

It will run, just need reliable parts.

I was told it would work as the same front beam in that thread. All that needs to be done is remove the fuel pump bracket. Is this wrong?

Wiring has been sorted, just looks bad as the turn signal relay needs to be replaced, I.I.R.C..

I just got a text from Jack, and he said because I was being difficult, he was going to call the police if I did not give prior waring of when I was coming to tow. I guess he has force me into spending money I did not want to. Same he had to be like a child and play tit for tat. Guess sometimes I should not be nice. Another reason for not living.

Not taking sides because I wasn't involved, but I think the "piling- on" here is both useless and counterproductive.

The issue is that Jack wants the car gone, and Adriel needs/ wants to get it.

That's it.

Now make it happen.

Moderator note:
I edited or removed a few posts that were getting a little out of hand or had personal insults.

This is a tough situation but let's try to stay civil at least.

Sorry Everett Embarassed I really just want it gone, that's it plain and simple. I have kept many details relating to this whole situation private but Adriel does not see the importance of this. I would ask that this thread be locked as there is no progress being made, at this time, to getting Adriels car running. I'm hoping that after all that has transpired since this thread started, that Adriel can keep or find a good home for this car.

I understand that you have a hard time seeing the forest due to the trees, Adriel... but you have taken a difficult situation and are simply making it worse...

Jack, being the reasonable person that he is, would now be in his rights to give you a deadline to remove the car and then charge you a storage fee every day after that. So now your issue has become simplified: don't worry about fixing it and driving it off into the sunset - bite the bullet and tow it off of Jack's property.

Perhaps this is not the hobby for you - at least until you get space of your own to work on a car, store it and the parts for it, etc...

Throwing gas on the fire by making snide remarks at Jack or anyone else will not help the situation, nor will making asides about committing suicide, your Asperger's, your religion, your up-bringing, or anything else that is irrelevant to what needs to happen now....

Perhaps this should be locked until a resolution is completed...

I now realize I somehow made it worse. Not sure, but if I have time, will discuss with Dr. Fader. Wink

I too feel this is getting too out of hand, and canceled some things and put the house at risk to see about getting this out sooner than later. If BettyAnn finds out I towed the Squareback she will most likely not go forward with the house. I need this to be able to get the Master's, so by doing this, it is putting the Squareback before education. But, I feel I owe this to Jack considering all that he has done. Yes, I now realize driving it off was not an option.

I did not realize I had made snide remarks and if you want to point them out privately, I be more than grateful. Very Happy I am sorry this has gotten out of hand and inappropriate.

I am tempted to say something about paragraph four, but concerned it might be considered arguing, which adults do not do.

U-Haul opens at 9:00 and will find out then whether they have a trailer. Until the Squareback is out of Jack's, I will not be posting, and hope this can stay quite until then, effectively locking it until progress happens. Wink

Thank you for following the request! Very Happy
