I had Vintagewerks rebuild a Solex 30 PICT-1 for me and recieved it a few days ago. It was unbelievable how good my carb looked. I have seen pictures of Mr. Falls' work but when I got my carb back it was better than expected. Everything was clean and the various small pieces like throttle arm, choke retainer plate, etc had been re-plated (not just poilished). It looks like a brand new carb in my opinion and for a little more than a cheap Chinese or Brazilian copy you can have the correct German one. I got it installed and running with no issues and my car finally runs like it use to. Great work and highly recommended.

Hello,

I just purchased a rebuilt German Solex 30 Pict 1 from Ed Fall @ Vintage Works... http://vintagewerks.com

I just wanted to share the amazing quality and craftsmanship Ed puts into his work. This thing looks better (IMHO) than a brand new carb off the line in 67... Just wow..

Ed is one of the nicest person I have the privilege to know. He is always willing to assist you and provide you with all the informations you require even if you are not a customer.
I have called and email him several times asking for technical informations and never have he refused to entertain me.
I quote what he said "As I watch parts take shape in my hands and then hold the finished piece - thers's a certain satisfaction in that - it's hard to explain.
I perfected my methods for the benefit of others"
The words of a true professional. One that you can rely on. From the many positive feedbacks received we are proud of you Mr. Ed Fall. You are truly a Good Good Guy. Applause

I had Ed rebuild a 356 B distributor for me. Runs great, looks great and was done fast for a fair price. Highly recommended.

Ed has rebuilt three fuel pumps and a carb for me and I'm getting ready to send him another carb as soon as things stop being so crazy at my job. He does great work and is very responsive. Thanks a lot, Ed! Very Happy

This is my first forum post on The Samba and I am glad the purpose of which is to extoll Ed Fall's werk (pun). He re-built several 40 pumps for me - one of which is in current operation on my 71 bus - and they are superb.

If you have work for him, be patient, his work is well - and I mean very-well - worth the wait.

Mein meinung ist das Er teilweise Deutsch ist, weil Er so detaillert ist und bei der VW unternamen Firma sollte sein! Wink

I can't say enough about the professionalism that ED has. I was looking for a specific # carb for my early Jan. 1955 bug. Ed sugested I place an add I did. Alot of people replied but no luck. ED happened to find one in his personal stash. He was going to use on one of his projects but instead he sold it to me . Man what a nice job he did.
It took a long time to get the carb between his vacation and mine and moving to his new place. He kept in contact with me , if I had any question he answered them usaly the same day.
When he was done he sent the carb ( very well packaged ) without even recieving my payment. What a trustworthy Gentleman.
If any one else needs any work done on their carb, fuel pump or distributor ED is the guy you want!!!
I sure will use him again if I need something rebuilt.

THANKS!!!!! ED

I bought a restored fuel pump from Ed, and it is a thing of beauty. I can't imagine it could have possibly looked any better when it was brand new.

Ed is incredibly knowledgeable and great to do business with. I would highly recommend him.

Awesome work.

I sent him a banged up 36hp pump rebuilt with common-sourced rebuilt parts.

He sent it back to me with a perfect OG finish, German gasket material, superior quality internals, and a Porsche internal spring that boosted the output pressure to 2 psi for my Okrasa setup.

Awesome to deal with, super fast work, unequalled quality for a totally fair price.

Thanks again Ed. She runs like a champ now!
