Its a 1951 deluxe 11C model. Has a sunroof clip from a 1950 split.   Paint on the body is og minus the fenders and decklid.  Ive owned it since june of 2009 and have focused most of my attention on the motor. It had a 1600 but now has a 2110cc that i have been cosmetically detailing.  Car was originally from germany according to the birth certificate and somehow made it back to the states.  It was previously owned by samba member, splitmike.  The car spent most of its life in maryland where splitmike found it. It was later sold to another gentleman and i was able to buy it off of that person before he even transferred the car into his name.  Has a 4 in narrowed beam, adjusters, dropped spindles, adjustable springplates, discs all around.  Ive repaired the bottom of both doors that had holes, been collecting missing parts such as the two front seats, and thats about it.  Im just gonna keep rolling it as is and eventually have a correct interior put in.  Oh yeah, its on the og pan too.

I owned that car for quite awhile also. I pulled it out of TN where it had sat for 20 plus years. I traded it to Bob Cook out of Maryland in which he sold/traded it to Mike in Louisiana. I did a lot of work to that car and wished I still had it. Glad someone out there got it and is enjoying it tho.

By the time I had the blue '50 on the ground and rolling the 11G was in So Cal for the Treffen. When the 11G made it was back to Nor Cal the hardtop was done and sold. I never had a chance to get a picture of both cars together, until today.
