^^^ what are you talking about? IMHO your ghia has lines just as clean (if not cleaner) as 50% on this thread! Even "car people" would not be able to tell the difference between a 1974 ghia and a 1955 ghia if saw them. _________________ 1971 Karmann Ghia

That pict confirms my suspicion that the reverser light was on the drivers side |
Looks like there is a " reverser light" on each side, so perhaps that Ghia is one of those Driver's Education trainers with steering wheel and pedals on both sides. |
Know this is reaching back a little bit, but does anyone have any info on the rear mount antenna on this car? _________________ M J Markham

Here is an antenna on the back of my car. Its been there for many years as evidence by my radio. I have seen
this same antenna on another lowlight but with 2 mounted on each rear fender! Kinda similar. Cheers.

The antenna on the Dutch car in the above black/white picture looks aftermarket, not VW installed.
That's how they did the "pimp my ride" back in the days
Antenna's were not factory mounted on lowlights, since not every car came with a radio. Usually the VW dealers mounted the antenna's.
A little Dutch humor : in the black/ white picture the owner drove his car to the sea and tried to swap his Karmann Ghia for a Golf _________________ drive it like you just robbed the bank
you don't have to be crazy to be into VW's, but it sure helps!!
.... if it ain't dutch, it ain't much! |

I love the internet. I can now appreciate that joke without having to find someone who speaks Dutch! _________________ Central Jersey VW Society
