How do you get 60 cents from Jenny? Is it a polygamy thing? _________________ 2000 M Roadster

Prices near me bounce up and down, seemingly by the minute.
Saturday morning, $2. 24/gal
Saturday evening, $2.26/gal
Sunday morning, going to church $2.19/gal
Returning from church (like, 90 minutes later) $2.17
Sunday evening, $2.21/gal
Made me wonder; How does it change so fast? I know it's (supposedly) tied to the price of oil, but how does my local station react so quickly? Is there a central/regional system monitoring market fluctuations and adjusting prices on the sign, and at the pump, almost instantaneously?
Also strange: There are 2 different stations (Thorton/Speedway) directly across from each other, that are almost always the same price. Yet, 100 or so yards away is a Mobile station that is ALWAYS higher, and doesn't seem to change as frequently. What's up with that? _________________ Everything known to man has been written.

$2.43-ish here. Was under $2.20 two weeks ago, then jumped twenty cents in a couple of days to get ready to gouge the tourists for summer. _________________ nothing |

Yup, with outrageously high prices like that I guess I will have to cancel my vacation plans. |

Never said they were too high in general, just that I live in a tourist area and prices on everything get jacked up for the summer season. 30 miles down the road gas prices are $.30 less for no reason other than price gouging.
Also, our gas prices are higher than in nearby cities in the state of Washington, home to the highest gas taxes in the country. No other plausible explanation than price gouging. _________________ nothing |

In about two months reg has jumped to 2.37 and diesel 2.39. Seems we're on an upward trend now. We're constantly being played. _________________ 67 zenith blue sunroof

Indeed we are. Tuesday or Wednesday I paid $2.59 for regular. Saturday, it was $2.79. _________________ Everything known to man has been written.

Yup, two weeks ago we were 2.79, and now we're 2.27. Go figure that it went down as the holiday weekend finishes up (was 2.49 friday afternoon). I wonder if they just put chips in a can, shake it, then reach in to decide whether to go up, or down on price. It just seems like that some days. Plus I'm about 11 miles from Canada, so we normally hop up to gouge them too. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Slowly and steadily climbing around here. Between $2.45 and $2.50 a gallon. No signs of dropping, especially with tourist season in high gear. _________________ nothing |
