All the cool busses I've had now gone. Traded for money. Busses gone and the money doesn't hang around too long. Always goes somewhere.

I was thinking the same thing Ev. Those two do look alot alike.

So true. I regret those that got flipped or MISSED (a 62 4 cam Carrera GT for $3500), but call it stubbornness, I still have a 56 single cab and a 58 23 window. Since 1985. Storage was not as secure as it should have been with a leaking roof over the 23, but: coulda, woulda, shoulda.

"German Scrape Metal". Don't they lay frame below the asphalt finish grade? Their motto-"So low we can't go".

Wasn't this bus on the cover of the August 92 issue of SHotVW's?

Sorry. I had to. Terrible. I will regret posting this in a few minutes. I'm sure that joke was made a long time ago regarding the famous bullet bus... or whatever vague recollection I have of it is.

Got this one last week. Late 57, very complete and all original paint Off the road for last 50 years, it still has its last plates from 1966. Just been cleaned and swapped out the flat tires on the og paint crows feet for some 14's to make it a roller.

I got a call from a contact that knew I was looking for one. Unfortunately he is 7 months too late. I bought and finished up a 61 recently and am not sure I want two single cabs. I still couldn't pass up the opportunity as the patina is incredible. Comes from the interior of BC where it is a lot drier than the coast. Hot in the summer and cold in the winter
