It was a buddies old bus. It sold for asking to a restorer. The ad did not show the skylight roof clip from another bus that went with it. Not saying it was a good or bad deal but I was curious. Either way gonna be a lot of work!
Thanks for the info. |
Not to mention the ENTIRE complete interior, all three seats in perfect original upholstery. _________________ - Chris

That's a great looking bus! I don't think it will last long. The owner's forthright description is a classified ad template to behold... _________________

Wanted to make sure this bus was expressed properly! Figured I would write an ad based on the questions I would want answered!

That is a damn nice bus, and an excellent ad. Well done on both accounts. _________________ nothing |

Not wrong. Biggest one-day pound-dollar drop for 30 years. And some of the flippers/sellers on here who rely on buses going to the UK are going to have cut-back on their (EU-sourced) champagneif things don't pick up... |

It also means buses have gone up in price overnight in the UK. That should make all the UK flippers with inventory happy. _________________ "There is only one sin; disconnection from self." |

Low taillight? Hard to see the shifter style/position and if the forward cargo door has a recess or not.
My guess is it is probably not a 1958, but certainly not sure. _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage

I thought '58's didn't have the pressings in the seat back bulkheads and were flat?

The paint is so flaky it's hard to tell but I am pretty sure I see a cargo door handle indent in

Good eyes fellas...
Non-pressed front bumper, possible cargo indent, low tails (Dec. 58 change)
+ seat stand is smooth in my '58. _________________ aka: Evan

I think the lower pic shows 58 walkthrough pressings. The upper pic of the bus in question is later style. Also, shouldn't the rear hatch be flat and without the crescent pressing near the hatch handle on a mid- year 58? _________________

I think on a '58 and earlier those are braces rather than pressings. The backs are flat otherwise. I think the one listed for sale is a '59 or up. |
