Exactly ^^^.
Red Fau- The seller is likely well-aware of the thread about the accident- and did not want to taint the possible sale by folks wondering if the driver died in it. When people die in cars- they are often harder to sell. |
selling dead people should be hard! _________________ regards

well if you try to rebuild it anyways it would have a rebuilt or salvage title on it now from the insurance company so would you really like to try and rebuild it knowing it has a rebuilt title on it. that alone scares a ton of people off right there. _________________ "asking and getting are two different things" |

I don't think a prospective buyer would GAFF about a salvage title on a 50+ year-old bus. _________________ -Thom

I'm not going to buy one with a salvage title cause sometimes you don't get your money back and the insurance company won't get you full coverage with a salvage or rebuilt title. _________________ "asking and getting are two different things" |

The seller states ID tag "intact" and m-code plate in "my possession." Nope, nothing fishy there.
The dash, as claimed, is indeed perfect if he can find original German bus stuff that bolts into the holes drilled for the giant tachometer. Maybe there's an m-code on his possessed plate for that? I can't stand when claims counter photographic evidence- even with only 9 photos. _________________

Sounds like not too bad of a deal if you could get a few more details on the engine, like a picture. And I'm confused if it's a walk thru or not. It sounds like it has a cut bulkhead, but also a walk thru? A pic would help that also. etc, etc. But I think it's a legit ad. _________________ 53 Hatch Barndoor

It appears to have the spare tire tray in the rear parcel shelf so I'd guess yes on walk-through. From the photos is does seem to have belly pans which is one item usually overlooked on a converted 21/23w bus. |

If they were a pair, and chrome, and mint, they might be worth half that. |

I noticed that too. He has tons of parts listed but maybe he doesn't really want to sell them.

Agree on the chrome analysis above. Maybe $50 for a mint pair.
Plastic handle:
It doesn't even look nice.
That is a $5-$10 handle.
I have an NOS one of those, I outbid everyone for off eBay some time ago, it was FAR less. _________________ How to Post Photos
