Some think that if your beetle has a padded dash, it's an engine donor. Some think that if it has push button door handles, it's a boat anchor.

This is for real cars not photoshops and models.
That's a model.
I would actually like to build a real version of that one day. _________________ Formerly known in the forums as "OVALTEEN"

I know it's a model, I just thought it was interesting and belonged on this thread. _________________

Nice welds........Isnt that technique called "rosette welding"? And thats a great idea using the lug bolt to keep the wheel properly centered on the drum . I dunno, do they really need the weld around the center or do you thing the plug welds are enough? Undecided on that.... _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone - 63 Short pan,1914.

If they wanted it centered, they would have tightened that lug bolt down so that it was seated properly. As it is, it is not centered on the hub. _________________

No no no - its our angle.....I am sure that with that kind of precision work, the wheel is properly centered...... _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone - 63 Short pan,1914.

and on those rubber bands for tires no less. I can imagine that would turn out well if he ever lit it off. |
