I'm working on the rear brakes of my baja, but none of this looks familiar to me. I think the PO said he used bus parts. When did buses come with rear discs w/ 4 lug wheels?
Could these be Ghia calipers?
ATE 93 vw?
ATE 52?
Stock wheels will not fit over the calipers.
Thanks. |

Looks like a brake drum was turned down into a hub, and a brake rotor (hat) fitted on. I have done the same thing with 280Z rear brakes. Very easy to do. No idea what your parts actually are though.
The jack is Harbor Freight. _________________ Go outside and do something. |

What I see you have, looks like what I first saw in the early 1970s on
buggies.
What was done then was to take the center hub from a type III 4lug rear brake drum (the outer part of drum bolts on to hub), and turn the outer diameter to fit inside a 914 rear disc brake rotor. The calipers that were used at the time were from the front of a type III. Measure pads and you can tell if this is correct.
CB Performance sells a kit that does the same thing. #4272 is one for a IRS setup. _________________ Joseph
