Man this is an old thread...but I'm glad to have stumbled upon it. I hope that the kits are still being made. I PM Steve for one of his kits other wise I will make my own. |

Did u ever pull together a kit for sale of this topic? I want to get a westy, but have a 4 and 6 year old so the single cot won't do. If this is available then I can expand my search to pre 74 westies. |

Has there been any update to the guy that was going to make these as kits? I still have interest in a continental bed for my early westy and I am not yet confident in my woodworking skills. _________________ Click to view image

Hi,
thanks a lot for this thread. I got a 1970 Westfalia and want to get a continental bed in there. Besides VW Evolution, which do not seem to exist anymore, is there anyone selling any kit anymore? I'd be keen to buy one. |

The VWEvolution link above still seems to work. The website is super messy. Use the navigation links on the right side ad do a lot of scrolling to see everything. _________________ TCB

I had no idea this even existed!
I want to do this on my bus, does anyone have experience with the NLA kit or can recommend another kit? |

I also want to do this!
I can't get the NLA since I live in NA and the shipping is horribly expensive, I mean I could but I'm gonna explore other options. Does anyone know of any NA manufacturers of a similar kit? _________________ 1973 Westfalia named Angie

I know ordering hardware is easy and saves time. But this thread is about making your own, no? All the information to make one is here on these pages. _________________

So as I recall it was this guy or another that made their own. Probably this guy. Shit who knows. Looks pretty simple to manage. Ill STFU now. Carry on. _________________

It does look simple enough tbh! I'll probably end up making my own since I can't find one, I'll post pics if I do _________________ 1973 Westfalia named Angie

It definitely would be cool to have but I will probably make my own too. I think I could make some simpler that worked better. |
