Personally, I am interested in milk crates. Everyone seems to have some in their hoard. How you you find the age of them?
When did they change from metal to plastic?
Anyone have metal sided crates with plastic bottoms? They are the Zwitter of milk crates.
How do you feel about square milk crates compared to rectangles?
short rectangles vs long rectangles?

Anyone have square WOOD crates that stack with the square plastic ones? Wink

I remember being at Pomona swap meet years ago and a fleet of milk guys came through reposessing everybody's milk crates. They were dumping peoples shit out if they refused to empty it themselves and throwing them in big carts.

I remember being at Pomona swap meet years ago and a fleet of milk guys came through reposessing everybody's milk crates. They were dumping peoples shit out if they refused to empty it themselves and throwing them in big carts.

I was there when that happened, too. Randy and I were set up across from a guy that had over 100 crates with carefully sorted parts. The fine was something like $50/crate or you could dump them out and give them back. The poor guy was sobbing and complaining about “how was he going to get all his parts back home?”. The Sheriff’s Deputy was unmoved.

That show was almost as good as the three drunk guys trying to figure out how to put up an early Westy tent in the dark at midnight with no instructions or prior experience.

Not sure if five (5) quantifies a hoard - I probably have more hidden away - but here are some metal single cab headliner strips/trim, Part #261 867 535.
