I have a 66 squareback with a set of 34 Dellorto single barrels . About a thousand miles ago I replaced the pump. It is a Carter universal unit you can get at O'Reillys. I used that one because that was what was already on the car. I remember the PO saying he put a pump on it as well. Tomorrow I am going to clean the screen in the tank. Has anybody had good luck with a particular brand? |

I've been running a MrGasket brand pump (#42S) for several years with both Weber 34's and Solex 32's. The pump in my Notch has been in there since 2010 after heat soaking 2 mechanical pumps. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Yeah , I've been reading up on FI using megasquirt or whatever using OE components. This car has 59k original miles on it. It's so great to drive. I know it takes away from the originality, but if you could get in it in any weather condition, fire it up, and drive it all afternoon, it would be awesome!. That's the way I'm going to go, but until then I need to mess with these carbs a little longer. I've actually read good things about Dellortos. |

I have also done the MS II installation on my 70 Fastback. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have, I also have a .msq you can use as a starting point. |

Thanks for the input, guys. The fuel injection reads are informative as they are interesting. But that's for a later date. When I was in high school in the early 90s I worked at an air-cooled shop I remember throwing away boxes and boxes of type 1,2and 3 fuel injection stuff one time when we were cleaning up because " nobody will ever want any of this garbage" . Now I'm looking for it. This weekend I'll put another Carter on it and clean the screen, maybe take the tank out if I have to , to clean it. Thanks again, Patrick. |
