Measure how tall that rear tire is.

I have run both 295/50-15 and 275/60-15 tires and I like the taller 275/60-15 for my buggy the most.

The 275/60 gives a nicer gear ratio in my opinion.

It will all depend on how much mid range power or torque you have.

If your engine pulls the buggy around nicely now then get the taller 275's.

I run my BFG 275/60-15 on a 8 inch wide rim.

It will cruise 70 mph at 3100 rpm all day without an issue.

The 275 is 28 inches tall and the 295 is around 26.5 inches tall. It make a pretty noticeable difference.

Thanks clonebug for reply. I looked up the 275/60/15 and it looks like it is an 11" wide tire. They should be ok on a 12" rim with a little bulge.
What do you think about the 215/60/14 on front on 8" rim.

I am running 185/60-15 on 3.5 inch rims but will be upgrading my Front brakes to 5x4.75 Chevy discs and 5.0 inch rims here shortly.
The 215 tire is probably about 1.5 inches wider than mine and should be fine although an eight inch rim might be on the wide side.
No worse than a 275 on a 12 inch rim.
