|

Hi all,
Having some trouble finding an answer on this, I have two switches on my transmission and I'm wondering what one of them is.
I'm putting together a '73 standard transmission and if you look at the picture I found in the gallery, you can see the tranny on the right side has 2 switches. The one facing the front of the car is the backup light switch, I know that. The other switch facing toward the driver's side (right in the picture) is what I'm not sure on. It's only got one tab like an oil pressure switch. What's that for?

Some late models had emissions which turned on and off depending on gear selection and engine temp-- Maybe some thing like that- in what gear does it activate?
edit- mystery solved- but would explain why it's not connected to any thing.- hate those buzzers- once had a yamaha the 5 things had to happen befor the starter would run. eeeeeer. _________________ some days I get up and just sit and think. Some days I just sit.

I'm new to this but with my 72 Super the seatbelt warning light only comes on if car is in gear, so i assume seatbelt warning. |

One less thing to hook up then! |
No, you should still hook up your seat belt.
