I was out at the local cruse in . and my buddy calls me he wanted to bring me his 1964 ghia so I can work on it for him . (ya I know wrong place) he brought the car to my house dropped it off . so I get home and try to move it and it wont start . I open the deck lid and look what I found ! just a reminder he is lucky to have this car

Thanks for taking the pictures ;
I have told several owners at shows that fuel filters hanging on the fuel lines will weaken that press fit on the carb .
Most think I'm just a crazy old guy .

I don't think fuel filters in the engine compartment is bad and there isn't one on this car I put mine before the pump

Agreed, yanking the fuel line off instead of pushing it off with slot tip screwdriver or just cutting it, causes most of the loose fittings.

if I need to take the fuel line off I cut it with a razor knife and put new line on
