I don't know.
But i do know the rear window defrosters almost never work at all anyway. the painted on grids evaporate away and makes trying useless. There are new windows with new grids. In that case It might matter. |

First pic the top part is the fresh air fan switch, bottom part is just an aftermarket interior light someone has added.
Part in the second pic is some sort of non original switch, possibly for that extra interior light. _________________ Quick little bug, you got a Porsche motor in that?

The mid-70's 1300cc Beetle may have been a non-US model 1200 (just as SB is model 1302/1303). This 1200 wiring diagram may be closer to your actual wiring:
Compare both and use the one that best matches. _________________ AshMan40

Thanks. I'm quite sure it has been a European 1300 deluxe from 1972.
That fresh air switch, where is that located on these schemes? (the non USA 1200 scheme is a lot more difficult to read btw...)
The item on the second picture (https://www.thesamba.com/vw/gallery/pix/1534858.jpg) is then the light switch? I've found that switch on another donor beetle as well. Might be quite a coincidence that both beetles have this switch? |
