That trunk looks nice. Smile
Unfortunately it seems the "production plate" is missing...
Or do I miss something here? Confused

Well, the pic you posted above shows the the "ID Plate".

I'm talking about the smaller "Production Plate" normally affixed to the right of the front latch, above the ID Plate:

I have a 71 SB w/AutoStick and love it. It came with new brake shoes but I think I will have disc brakes put up front when the time comes. You may want to consider doing that up front as well. Best wishes

Thanks Wannabe1952. The car has brand new brakes, but for sure I will upgrade to discs all around when I replace them next time.

It's coming along. Still waiting to do the window and door rubber after all the body is cleaned up. You can see I like the German cars. I wish a Porsche 911s was here too. Soon.

I've been wishing for just about any kind of 911 for about 40 years. Sad

Hand control installed. I'll probably drill a hole in the brake pedal too like the gas pedal. The clamp makes it a portable hand control.

"Stau-Karte" is sort of an unusual German term. I googled it an ended up with loads of traffic jam maps... Laughing

Joking apart... I assume your "Stau-Karte" is related to the shipping of the car from Germany to the USA...
"Etwas verstauen": to stow something...

Literally translated "Stau-Karte" would read stowing card.
Although I've never seen one before I guess it contains info about where on the deck the car was parked, who stowed it and possible damages.

A few translations:
Backbord - portside
Steuerbord - starbord
vorne - front (bow)
achtern - aft
Stellplatz - storing position
gestaut - stowed
längs - lengthwise
quer - crosswise
Bahn - railroad
Kai - pier
Stauer - longshoreman, (stower?), the person who stowed the car
Schäden - damage

The gist of "Art der Stauschäden auf der Rückseite vermerken" is:
Take note of stowing damage on the reverse side.

I have no real clue about the exact meanig of these:
Schlüsselwagen - key car Question
Fremdwagen - external car (non Volkswagen) Question
Öltropf - oil drip Question Question Laughing
