No I ordered in November. I think I'm on the same "order" as you. I just get all annoying and call them every week until they do it. haha _________________ - Chris

They look great! Maybe that's what I need to do- they told me a "couple more days" on the 25th of March. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

Oh and ask then to send you your extra material if you aren't having them make the lower panels. They didn't send mine. _________________ - Chris

I CLR'd the rust a bit and then cut and buffed the paint and then waxed it. Before;

Nailed it My goal is to get it to the Treffen this year but we'll see what insurmountable barriers will arise. Also I guess it will be without a rear seat bottom cover and just bare springs. I gave my rear seat bottom cover to Gizmo Bob to send back to SMS because they made them too short and they were supposed to remake me one.
But that was at the VW Classic 2014, 2.5 years ago. _________________ - Chris

On the page of the thread where you talk about getting the interior made, I believe that's what you were referring to, who did you order it from? Did you get it? Do you have any pics of it?
Thank you,
Nice looking mechanicals and heater boxes etc. I'd say it probably looks better than it did new. |

SMS Auto Fabrics can make the covers but you have to have the salt and pepper material, which I understand the type 3 headquarters is making now. _________________ - Chris

The material is completely in Bob Waltons hands. _________________

Pretty much a blueprint build for my 63. Brakes, suspension, transmission and engine. Cut and polish the og paint...and have the front fenders repainted in the og colour. |

I saw your thread the other day. I love that birch green! seems like your paint is a little more intact than mine is. _________________ - Chris

Yes. Both of you have some very interesting rebuilds going on. Love to see it! Nothing like seeing an old VW come back together. _________________

Thanks. The paint is pretty good, except for the poorly repainted front fenders. If I can’t find a set of OG paint, I will have them resprayed and patina’d to match. If I can find a set of stock wheels, this one will get raised back up...the 69 will be the lowered big motor car. |

Finally found the time to pull the transmission back out and put the type 3 hockey stick in. I took a picture illustrating the difference the top is type 3 and bottom type 1.
This was the reason I could only get 1st and 2nd and reverse and everything was shifted over to the right one position. So 1st was where 3rd should be and 2nd was where 4th and reverse was where 2nd should be. I could not get into 3rd and 4th. _________________ - Chris

Just over a week ago I became the next caretaker for this Notchback. I'm planning on starting a new preservation thread in the next couple of days. Once it's started I'll link it here.
