In my 'new' 74 Thing, one of the front arms has a very sloppy bushing on the inside.
Has anyone used the Urethane bushing shown here?
Apparently you do not use the outer needle bearing and use this larger bushing that replaces both.
So no need for the special reaming tool.

Don't you have to ream the bushing to fit the trailing arm?

Not for needle bearings. If they are solid baquelite type, then yes.

So I used the red urethane ones... I can definitely confirm they squeak. Bad enough that I am going to change them out this winter when I stop driving for a while...

My urethane rear bushings turned to powder after a few years.

A slide hammer works good
I've used a long pipe and a socket that just fits
