I would think so. I'd contact the type 3 and 4 club of the UK to find out for sure.
Have a look here;

no, never seen one. There are none in the gallery either

RHD cars are weird creatures, bullets and chrome trim, no markers, earlier bodies assembled later (Thornton had a RHD with a 65 VIN but it was assembled, painted, and sold in 67)

I thought 260KM had one on here that he was rebuilding. Or is his car an earlier car?

Proper German RHD 1500 'S' cars are super rare in Australia. I believe there are about 4 or 5 in Australia. I believe that there msy be 1x sunroof version here only.

Don't confuse australian assembled 1500 with German. They are like chalk and cheese. I can not recall seeing an Australian 1500 with a sun roof ever.

I can't find the 1 x German RHD 'S' image I have seen in Australia. I believe it was in Queensland. I also think it was in primer or undergoing bodywork when I last heard about it (15+ years ago maybe).

Of course Mike Dempster has a RHD sunroof 1500 'S' under restoration in the UK at the moment.

RHD sunroof 1500 'S' notchbacks or squarebacks would have to be some of the rarest VW's on the planet. And of course T34's in RHD with sunroofs too...

So did a a RHD sunroof squareback ever pop up? When we think of RHD cars, we only think of Australia or Enlgand, but most VW's in Thailand are RHD.

The Corvair Monza convertible will be really sweet once it's put back together. Cool

According to that list someone posted about a month ago, a type 3 sunroof option was 100 bucks delivered to LA. And from what I've seen from the 1500 club archives, a sunroof could be had even on basic models, so I'd think there should be one or more hiding out there waiting to be found or surfaced.

This is why I wonder where they all are. I've seen two type 34's RHD w sunroof, but never a squareback, Until this one.

I have a 65 RHD 1500 S squareback that came from Australia but it is one of the last German ones before the kit version so sounds rare. Has the made in Germany tag in the front. The interior is different but I intend to change some of it back to original. I have a RHD dash top to fit along with the top door panel plastic straps. The rest will be left.
The car is in line for a floor pan resto & general tidy with Evil Ben. The exterior paint will be left & blended where needed.
I do have some old pictures of the front seats/door cards but not sure if they are original but look old & ripped
Thanks Dave

I tried to purchase a RHD 1500 S squareback prior to the one I have now. It was a guy in Queensland Australia. I have some pictures. The guy seemed to not really want to sell although he contacted myself on a wanted advert. His price in the end seemed high at the time. Then the guy feel ill & I found one in the UK.
I'll include pictures as it shows the old interior on one of the doors.

This beauty looks to be a '63 Squareback. Angel from Angel's type 3 brought one over from Australia a few years back. It was very nice but it didn't have a sunroof.

Yes, it looks like a '63 to me too.

I was wondering if it's an Australia colour or if it's the 1963/64 color Birch Green
