The reason I asked was that it has the "S" trim on both the inside (where it still is) and on the outside. I believe 63's didn't get that. You could also look at the engine, and see if it's dual carbed. Most 62's and 63's had the side marker light above the belt trim line. Also, they used "pin wheel" style drums. your car has the 64-65 style rear drums. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Going off that id number, it was built in late August of 63. The start of the new model year was August 1st. So it's an early 64. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

So what happened? did you restore it? _________________ I'd be UNSTOPPABLE if not for Law Enforcement and PHYSICS.
I recycle old cars and parts, other than when I rot, that's as Green as I am going to get.
Thanks to my Tesla driving neighbors, I feel more relaxed driving my SUBURBAN and old VW's.
