Is it that your old tires are 26.53" tall? If so, what is the tire size on the sidewall? |

Interestingly, that site show the Copper Discoverer 195R15 still available for almost $200 each! I thought they were discontinued, and the last set I bought was half that price. _________________ nothing |

I'm running Cooper Discoverer H/T 205/75R15 that I bought for about $140 (Canadian) in 2012. I have no complaints. |

Maybe old stock? How long ago were they discontinued? I saw the same thing happen with the Nexen SV820's. They were discontinued and then seemed to show up again at retailers. Either someone found an old stash of them or the factory did another run. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

Since these dropped in price so much and I'm running around on tires dated 9 years old I figured it was time to upgrade. These ride SO much better than the 205/65/15 passenger tires I had on there previously.
Thunderer Ranger R101 - 195R15, Load Range D, 8 ply with a load rating of 2094 lbs:

Can you take a pic of the tread pattern? |

Nice bus and tires. Does the tire/wheel fit behind the seat? Also Eric, if you click on the link above there are pics. Although it does say pic may not be accurate so a pic from mafia would be cool. |

Added the pic to my original post. I have a walk thru bus but these will not fit in the spare tire area as they are too wide. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

Thanks for the info. I've been reading up for a while. Look good on your bus and seem like a good value so I pulled the trigger. Eating beans for another month! |

Vredestein Comtrac 205/70R15 106, Load range D. Purchased off eBay from Tires Easy, shipped quickly.
The fronts are pushed out as I have a SACO front disc brake setup. I'm planning on putting in rear spacers as I now have at least a couple of inches of clearance back there and visually it looks a bit odd.
For comparison, I rolled up my old 14" rim with the original BFG Silvertown 4-ply.

I ordered the Thunderer Ranger R101 195R15C from Tires-easy.com, was $338.84 delivered to my door, plus I had to pay $60 at my local tire shop to get them mounted and balanced. I tried to mount them by hand but it was a no-go. These tires replaced the lousy 165R15 tires that were on my single cab. The handling and ride are so much better with these new tires, and the speedo is now reading correctly. Highly recommended!

I have about 500 miles on the same tires now and they have been great. I'm running the backs at about 40lbs and the fronts at 35lbs since I'm running them on a Westy which tends to be a bit heavier than a standard bus. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

Is the weight rating at least 1525 Lbs.? Is the speed higher than you could ever do in the bus?

Might be tight to get into the pre-early 1962 rear wheel wells though. _________________ In Stereo, Where Available! |

Those are a little on the smaller diameter size. Stock was about 27", so you will read a little high MPH.
205/75/15 would be much closer. _________________ In Stereo, Where Available! |

Why not just get a set of 195R15's and be done with it? Hankook, Yokohama, Thunderer Ranger, Nexen (maybe), lot's of them available in 15" size. _________________ nothing |
