Hey guys...just looking for some easy guidance
65 beetle with a 1600dp, 12 volt system. I need to order a new ignition coil, mine is shot. I just looked on jbugs and there are so many damn choices! I don't need anything crazy since its a pretty average setup! Any suggestions on which one I should get would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Ron |

You can also get one of these that has the needed input resistance.

I'd stick with the Bosch blue from Brazil.. it works. _________________ Glenn

Wow.. I hate to sound like a stereotypical "cheap" VW owner, but... $90 dollars for a coil these days? Wow.. It doesn't seem that long ago that they were $20-25 dollars for the good Bosch coils. _________________ Contact me at [email protected]

That's a lot of coin for a not very coveted year bug. Not to mention, there are still TONS of late 60's bugs around as well.
And you're right... things are not cheap anymore unless you buy Chinese.. _________________ Contact me at [email protected]
