My first VW! I've always been a Jeep guy, but my daughter wanted a bug. I found this in a back yard of one of member Mr. White's friends. It's been sitting 16 years. 1960 body, 66 pan, cut and turned Thing front beam, swing axle with bus reductions, bus trans, 1600 DP engine, 34 PICT3, 009, no floors, just needs TLC. Engine runs well with no blowby after plugs, wires and a carb rebuild. What better way to learn me some VW than from the ground up!

Before and after. "Before" features missing floor pans and heater channels. "After" features my first motor build and homemade front bumper! I have been working on this 8 months now and am very happy to finally put it in this thread.

Its getting closer needs some suspension height adjustment and tyres but engine runs light work glass is done and interior is nearly done
