Do not want chrome strips on side of bus-grind holes smooth and fill with??? Proverbial Bondo?
Things you should know-It takes exactly 46 randomly spaced, random size drilled holes in the inside of a 1971 Window to hang privacy curtains. Also takes 4 extra holes in the dash to place whatever device you want to switch on or off!! Are some people just drill happy?????
Found-Lowe's Citrus Strip-works great-no methylene chloride and absolutely no odor.

too bad - those are deluxe strips and some folks will pay a pretty penny for them and the proper holder.

I'd at least use duraglass. just a little less prone to cracking than bando. And make sure to scuff with something like 40 grit or 32. all that stuff likes something to grab.
Welding would be best.
Second thought, maybe look for a large rivit to fill the hole then bando over that? I actually kind of like that if you aren't able to weld it shut.

Keeping the strips for either later use or sale. No decision yet. Have clips and strips. Just not fond of them
