Has anyone installed a Grip Royal steering wheel? Which adapter did you use? Not really interested in a quick release hub. I contacted Grip Royal and they don't make hubs but gave me a list of companies that do. I haven't found one that fits a '71 SB yet. |

Reverse your search.. Find a VW shaft 'adapter' that has these feathers. From their web-site..
What brand hub adapters are compatible with Grip Royal products?
All Grip Royal products utilize a 70mm PCD six bolt pattern. Therefore, many manufactures produce products that are compatible with Grip Royal steering wheels! Brands such as NRG Innovations, Momo, Sparco, OMP, Splash, and Worksbell are a few products that are compatible amongst other brands. _________________ Daily driver: '69 Baja owned 44 yrs - Plan B: '81 Rabbit Diesel LS Deluxe - Plan C: '72 Ghia

I read their website and went to each co they mentioned and none listed a hub for a 1971 beetle. My current wheel is a Personal (Nardi?) and it has a hub of its own that doesn't mate with the Grip Royal. Thus, the question. I found a conversion spacer on EBay that is supposed to mate the two different types. Grip Royal is 70 mm and Personal is 74 mm. Fingers crossed. |
