I have been so lucky to find a set of these for my 1302 from '72. I have some trouble to find out to find centercaps for these fine alloys. And Also to find out the right pant design for these wheels. I'm thinking of paniting them silver/black with polished edge of the rim, and also polish the details.
Any tips/ideas to this are very welcome Wink

gloss black with polished lip and raised edges on the spokes. that's my vote Smile

on ebay, there is a whole section for center caps. you can search by the measurement of the center hole, as well as MOMO

whatever you do, post up your results ! Smile

I still kick myself for not buying a set when I had the chance years ago. Nice VERY LIGHT wheels. The ones I saw were just like yours plain silver with polished lips on the spokes, and they too were missing the caps.

Really appreciate the feedback Very Happy, And yes indeed very light wheels around 5,5 kg per wheel. Looking forward to having them mounted on the 1302.

I used this set of wheels in this car, when I sent his Empi Sprintars to refurbish. This Momo wheels belong to my VW1303 that I'm restoring since 2005, not ready yet Rolling Eyes .

I also have the original center caps (they are not on those pictures), but they were in a bad condition, so a friend made me a exact copy of the originals in plastic, and they look very good.
I like them in gloss black with polished lip and raised edges on the spokes, that's the way my will be.
