I responded to an ad in the high performance/engine parts for sale forum for a super case. The seller's user name is Blackdog1010 and he goes by the name Corey but his PayPal account is in the name of Shane Stafford. We had several email exchanges and a phone conversation. All seemed well but as soon as I sent him the $685 for the case he deleted the ad, never shipped the part and stopped all communication. He won't answer phone calls or return emails. Beware, he still has an active ad for a set of Weber 48s which the buyer will probably never receive either.

Isn't there another longtime seller known as "blackdog1999" (or something similar) also named Corey? Is this Shane seller trying to pretend he is someone else?

Well if it will help you out, I've got 2 german cases set up for 94's, full flowed, align bored...
I can do $500ea delivered and I guaranty you'll receive it.
you may need to do a little clearancing for your crank/rod set-up. Or you can send them (crank, rods, cam) to me and I'll set it up so all you have to do it bolt it together... |

Update:
Everything I can research about this guy's account says to me scammer, possibly a guy that was using stolen photos to sell parts he doesn't own.
He using 2 different names in the ads - Shane and Corey
His ads say both Las Vegas and Seattle but the IP addresses are from all over the USA and a lot of the IPs are listed on the site I used to look up spammer/scammer IP addresses.
If you paid with Paypal I would file a dispute ASAP and with your credit card company too, if you used a credit card through Paypal.
He is banned from the site.

Thanks for the update Everett. Yeah, I filed a case with PayPal and if he doesn't respond to them with a valid tracking number by 6/24 supposedly they'll refund my payment. I asked PayPal what about if he's already withdrawn the money, they said it doesn't matter, I'll still be refunded. Never tried this before so fingers crossed.
