Can anyone tell me what this handwritten writing is when I have taken the chassis plate off my 1954 oval beetle. standard beetle with Jupiter grey paint. Uk registered and right hand drive.

... all you'll have to do is decipher what it says... here's some markings on my '55 bug. I think it reads, "M94 - USA"... M94 = locking doors and engine lid, same key.

My Canadian destined car had "Kanada 4" written in grease pencil.
Also ultramaroon, but nothing about L276. _________________ Charmaine

Are you sure it was Jupiter grey from factory? Almost looks like it says L41.
And there was no silver/grey in 54... _________________ Charmaine

This is a really cool thread. I am surprised more have not responded with their cars messages.
Here’s mine! I had to rub the black oversprayed paint off the surface to get to this!
I think it may say, (some symbol) followed by USA MP14 (then something scribbled). Any thoughts? _________________ Jimbo
