Has anyone ever heard of this buggy??
picked it up for $400.00 bucks, came with a 1600 motor, swing axle rear end, on a 68 pan. also has the windshield and roll bar. here's a couple of pics.
sticker on right side of body

some one (who didn't know thing 1 about fiberglass work) tied to stretch it to fit a full size pan.. I am going to fix the body and cut the pan. I all ready have a 69 out back for any donor parts that I need. the body's fiberglass is pretty thick (about 1/4 inch)any one with some info on this buggy chime in I would appreciate it a lot.

It's a East Coast version of Poty Industries Sand Rover. I just finished one. Look at the post Stretched 68 Sand Rover. |

Agree.... Had one that was built for strict autocross racing, only body mod on the one I had was PO cut the big humpie engine cowl/cover off so back end was more exposed like typical Manx...
You body has been cut to adapt to long pan. Body was originally made for shortened pan...
Picture of mine in "full autocrtoss" setup...

thanks for the input..so I guess I will call it a "Sand Rover"
Carter, that was a excellent build..great fab skills!!
Dale, yours looks great also if I was going to keep it I would go along that rout. but I am going to build it for the street and sell it.
I am going to fix the body then shorten the pan.
Carter, I will probably pm you if I run into any problems..( if you don't mind )
thanks guys, Ken _________________ 73 super/ Baja'd |
