Well... the inside of my house has been cleaned and my family and I have finally moved home. Thanks again for all the well wishes and offers, very much appreciated.
Our house is fine, just some minor exterior damage insurance said is a result of a partial water bomber hit from when they were dousing the trees behind our home. That will all be looked after, just waiting on a couple new appliances to replace the rotten ones then the home will be back to pretty much normal.
Driving around town gives you mixed emotions. The trees/scenery are a lot better than expected, lots of damage however a lot still survived. Some areas around town look like nothing has happened. Other areas of town that were pretty much wiped out (Beacon Hill, Abasand, Waterways) aren't really visible from the main roads, and are blocked off by the police who are only allowing residents through so that can't really be seen yet. Seeing lots of pictures from friends and it is bad. Whole neighborhoods are just flat... only foundations/basements left, any vehicles around are gutted, rims melted off. Estimated 2400 structures destroyed, the vast majority is all residential.
Feeling very lucky that our home survived, but feel horrible for the friends/family and other community members that have lost everything.
Let the rebuild begin.
Cheers,

Is that a GT6? What was that next to it? _________________ "Just $99 down and $64 a month for 36 months buys you a brand new Volkswagen Beetle!"

I wouldent waste $ or thyme on building a small motor. build it big so it dosent have to work hard.remember it's only as fast as your foot alows it to be unless you build a small turd then it just stinks as it squishes up through your toes when you step on it. |

you know your in trouble during the evacuation when a cluster of mail boxes burst into flames while your going past them. Sad about whole blocks of houses and goodies goes up in flames-
Glad you got out and your house is still in one piece. _________________ some days I get up and just sit and think. Some days I just sit.
