Cool, but nothing overly desirable for most enthusiasts. |

I want the Audi sedan. It doesn't need restoring. |

List of cars is incredible!
A VW Karmann Ghia Coupe, and
A VW Karmann Ghia Convertible, and
A 1964 Karmann Ghia, and
A 1972 Karmann Chia convertible. (Now, is that 4 cars, or 2? )
And best of all,
Several Beatles (I thought 2 of them were NLA) & Supper Beatles (Paul & Ringo, maybe Pete Best come to dinner?)

Maybe that one had such a thick layer of dust that plants started growing on it, like a Chia Pet.

Probably nothing. Mike is more of a split-window guy. |

I went to this auction on Friday to check it out. I didn't stay for the bidding but for a couple minutes. I took a bunch of cell phone pics which you can see at the link above. Didn't buy anything. I did not return the next day for the sale of the cars. I'm pretty new to all this, so I'm not sure if there was really anything worth buying. I counted about 60 people at the start of bidding Friday night.

Thanks for sharing. I'd be interested in what the final tally was, it looks there was more money spent in prepping for the auction than the auction probably netted. _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.

Prices were cheap. Doors sold around 5 to 10 bucks each. A lot of the cars sold for a few hundred. Early fenders 50 or 60 bucks. Turnout was slim. There was a lot of parts there but mostly common stuff. Cars were pretty rusty. Auction company did a great job. Some parts didn't get a bid. We would have bought more if we could have hauled it. We left fully loaded! |
